Serving Public Health Nurses Through Passionate Leadership
During my 18 years of public health nursing, I've had the opportunity to work in almost every area of public health, from home visiting to emergency preparedness. I am passionate about finding new ways to give public health nurses the tools and resources they need to take care of our communities. As populations and health care continually change, public health nurses remain flexible, creative, and driven change agents that empower health. Pursuing my Doctorate in Nursing Practice in the Public Health Nursing specialty has given me the skills to keep my workforce moving into the 21st century. This website serves as my portfolio, highlighting the AACN DNP Essential skills and knowledge that I've developed over the course of my DNP program, including how I've used data and nursing science frameworks to drive my work, the way I bring a systems approach to leadership, my vice in advocacy and attention to policy, collaborating across multiple fields and disciplines, and using advanced nursing practice to impact population health.
